SimpliConnect for Outlook® is an easy-to-use Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) productivity solution that enables any Outlook user to automate inbound calling, outbound calling, visual status of other telephones, and other telephony functions. Since SimpliConnect is a plugin to Outlook®, users can continue to use the familiar Outlook interface while enhancing the control of their office telephone.
SimpliConnect for Outlook®, running on a client PC, interprets information sent by the Avaya Communication Manager via the Avaya CT Telephony Server and performs an action based on that information. SimpliConnect tells the Avaya Communication Manager via the Avaya CT Telephony Server to carry out an instruction. An instruction may be (for example) to transfer the call or add another user to a conference call.
SimpliConnect for Outlook® features include:
- Auto dial from Contacts list or Toolbar
- Conference Call Management
- Call history of current session
- Journal logging and optional Screen Pop
- Screen Pop of Contact on inbound or outbound call
- Visual status of other telephones
- “Email to self” of missed call details
- Telephony call controls (transfer, hold, send calls)
The System requirements include:
- Avaya–CT client software, Release 3.3 Version 2.0 or higher
- Outlook®–2000, XP, or 2003
- Operating Systems – Windows NT 4.0 SP6, 2000 Professional SP2, XP Home, or XP Professional
- Desktop hardware – 266 MHz Pentium or higher, 64MB RAM, 2 MB for application, 5 MB for documentation, CD-ROM, 800x600 screen resolution
